Personality: Jazz has a large, very distinct personality. For the most part, she's sweet. She adores people and accepts attention from nearly anyone if Mariana hasn't already come to see her that day. She's nearly always ready to go and comes up to the gate when someone's waiting there, whether or not they're looking for her or not. However, she does have a very alpha-mare quality to her. She likes to be in change both in the paddock and under saddle. She's aggressive to most other horses and tries to establish her place, as while riding she's very stubborn, and has little hissy fits if you ask her to so something she doesn't want to do. Eventually, she'll get over it, but if you don't have a good seat she might be able to throw you. However, she's quite good at her job when she wants to be, and spooks only very scarcely.
History: Mariana adopted Jazz from a rescue, however prior to her adoption she was left outside, untouched for approximately two years as her previous owner left for college when the time came and seemed to loose interest in her. While she wasn't entirely neglected, the girl's grandmother would feed her at the appropriates, but other than that she was left outdoors nearly year-round. Never did Jazz become irritable about being caught, however, and she was still able to be ridden even though she was unbalanced. But, once Mariana got her hands on the mare she improved greatly as a result of hours of hard work to bring her to her current level.
