no rose, no daisy can touch what i got
hey i'm a wildflower, growin' in the sunshine
------------------------------ soakin' up the way of life i was raised in. runnin' barefoot,
bloomin' in a summer shower, ponytail
dancin', i can't help it, i'm a wild flower. i'm just a
--------------------------------- girl who needs a little sun, a little rain, an open field to play
hey i'm a wildflower, growin' in the sunshine

A sigh was forcefully exhaled out of her lungs, glaring at a student who felt so self-righteous that she felt the need to put Azaria in her place. She gritted her teeth, listening to her ramble on about her horse’s stall not being done right. Her brown eyes narrowed but she forced a fake smile to her face to disguise the animosity growing within her. She wanted to bash her face against the aisle way, or hand her the pitchfork and walk away. She couldn’t stand people like her that were rich, snobby, and felt the need to point out everything wrong that she was doing. At least Azaria was earning her living. She was paying her way through this school by working two jobs. She worked as a stall cleaner which just seemed like some fancy way of saying she picked up horse poop all day, then there was her bartending job at the Tick Tock Room. Ria knew her way around liquor and horses incredibly well, in fact, she could stomach alcohol more so than most.
Finally, the girl walked away and Ria angrily cleaned the stall she was doing before resting against the side of the wall. She felt herself beginning to lose control, and felt the strong urge to chase after her and knock her ass out. She talked herself out of it. She needed to be here even if she didn’t fit in with the girls who wore pricey clothes from name-brand stores. Ria just wore jeans and t-shirts most days. Her blond hair usually just pulled into a messy bun and she was out the door. There was no makeup to flaw her true identity, and her body wasn’t tainted by orange. Some girls just over did it on the spray on tans. Ria was a hundred percent real which was fairly sad that most of these girls here she would never get along with. It didn’t matter anyway. Being raised by a man made her feel more comfortable around guys anyway. She trusted them more, and after having been backstabbed by girls too many times, she couldn’t chance it.
Her alluring brown eyes rested on the Gator in front of her and exhaled heavily as she yanked the manure bucket out of the stall. With ease, she lifted the bucket and disposed of it in the back. She returned some time later with the Gator empty and nothing in her hands. What was she going to do for the rest of the day? She had nothing planned and she worked later on at the bar, but until then she had basically the rest of the afternoon off. Ria wasn’t used to having nothing to do. She needed something to do at all times in order to keep herself busy but now it was different. She aimlessly wandered towards where her gelding was kept in his stall. He only went out for half days due to the reduced availability in the paddocks and pastures.
The red roan gazed at her curiously, nickering to her as she opened his stall door and nibbled her shirt. She smiled and stroked him. ”That girl better thank her lucky stars,” she murmured towards Pride, her southern accent showing. He whickered in response, resting his brown eyes on her pockets. She laughed softly and reached into it. ”You know me so well.” She permitted the sugar cube to rest flat on her palm. Pride easily took it, digesting it before he returned to his lunch. Azaria watched as people passed by and soon the influx of people subsided. She nudged Pride lightly. ”Looks like it’s just you and me buddy.” Pride nodded his head before he tugged at her shirt. Ria shoved him away lightly, grinning as she slid out of his stall. Who knew? Maybe she’d find someone just as equally bored as she was. She could only hope.
