Were these feelings Alex had rumbling in the depths of his stomach real? Maybe they existed in that mere moment he spent with Chloe due to his want for companionship. Alex needed to get his priorities in order and fast. Alex was taken aback by the kiss now that he returned to reality. Was all of this an out of desperation which Alex shrouded with false feelings towards the girl? Chloe wasn't even the type of girl he'd date. He frowned to himself, upset that he allowed himself to do such a stupid thing. Maybe, just maybe Chloe wasn't one of those girls to easily attach themselves to someone over a little kiss. She didn't seem like it and for that, Alex was grateful.
A sigh parted his lips as he rubbed the stubble on his face, "We did only meet today. You're right. " He replied, raising a brow in Chloe's direction. Alex was hopeful that Chloe would be okay and leave their relationship at being just friends. He smiled, hopes high that Chloe wouldn't storm off and that all she would do is nonchalantly shrug it off and act like it never happened. If only things would go according to plan. He raised a hand, animating his speaking,"I think that we should just stop what we've begun and end this on a friendly note." He heaved out a lung's worth of air, "I hope you don't mind. But I was acting without fully thinking and I don't want to further what it is that we started." Alex continued, eyes glued to Chloe.
He held out that same rough hand in her direction, hoping she'd take it and that they could end it all in a friendly handshake. After all, she did inquire that they had just met only hours ago. Besides, Chloe seems to be more friend material than girlfriend. She's just too high class for his taste. Alex needed a more down to earth, homely girl who he could take on a sunset trail ride through the rolling hills of the beautiful bluegrass state.

I don't mind spending some time Just hanging here with you
The whole day had taken a 180 degree turn for the worst. This asshole thought he could kiss her, basically lead her on, then tell her he only wanted to be friends! She was hot, extremely hot with anger that boiled beneath her skin. Hell, she could get him fired. Of course she wouldn't go down that road mainly because she couldn't do that to someone knowing the consequences of that action, but how tempting it was.
"Right." Her next reaction was hurt, deeply hurt that she had actually liked him and now she felt used. She knew all boys were the same whether they were older or younger, but it was a nice hope that Alex was a little better than that. She had been wrong with her judgement yet again and look what it got her. Replies to what he had said seemed uncomprehendable. What could she say to get her true feelings across? Nothing was the best answer to this problem but nothing made it seem like she was a jealous bitch.
She took his hand and shook it loosely. After that she promptely rose, snatching up her towel. Her location that she was headed she didn't know. All that she knew was that she couldn't be around him any longer. He could consider himself no longer a friend of hers on Facebook, that was the best threat she had. Horrible. All she could do was pull her self together, and say one last thing before she left.
"It's not over". She knew it may have come out as a threat but it wasn't meant as such. Her voice wavered slightly as she said it, which would maybe lead him to believe that it wasn't a threat. Who knew if he had used her or if he had really realized the consequences of his actions. It didn't matter either way, he wanted to end it so he'd get his wish, for now. She couldn't help but want him more at this very moment that she stormed away back to her room.
Ooc: sorry for any bad grammar or spelling mistakes =p on itouch

Alex frowned, eyes sank as her reaction hit his ear. Was there any other way he could've let Chloe down without hurting her? Hell, Alex didn't even expect for Chloe to even be hurt by his decision on their relationship together. He buried his face in a hand, resting his elbow on a propped up knee. What was he to do? Alex felt like a complete ass. He didn't expect for her to have reacted like that. Then again, not many guys do when they talk to girls. They always have the entire conversation played out in their heads before the scene takes places.
Shit, not the loose hand shake. Alex eyes widened as she got up, proceeding to storm off. He knew from the moment she gripped his hand so loosely that he most definitely "stepped in it". Alex shielded his face from the sand that flew off of the towel in an attempt to block any wild grains that would attempt to blind him by scratching his corenas.
The words stung in his ears as she left with one last remark. Alex sat up, turning to watch her leave; face red with fear. Damn Americans. Alex was left on the beach with a bag full of mixed feeling and sand covered hair. "What the fuck?!" Alex muttered to himself, throwing his hands into the air out of frustration with Chloe. Was he to heed her warning and take it as a threat? What did Chloe mean by such words? So much for a good afternoon. Alex stood up and grabbed his towel, shaking what sand clung to it off. He ran a rough hand through his hair and stormed off to the barn in hopes that he would have someone to talk to when he got there.
